Qigong
“Moving-in-meditation”, with a strong focus on grounding and the development of natural posture, movement and breathing. Stimulating your energy, taking up extra energy and assimilating it. Enjoying your growing vitality, trust in life and a deep relaxation.
Qigong (translated: “working/playing with energy”) consists of series of simple, easy, slow movements, that invite you to become more and more conscious of the flows of energy in your body. They help you to strengthen en open up the body in order to stimulate the energy circulation and to train mental concentration to direct and save your energy. In other words: “Energy Management”. When training regularly, you ultimately will experience an increasing resilience and more easiness; being at rest, even in action.
Grounding
Qigong Grounding goes back to the roots of the Qigong and Taiji Quan practice. It is preperation as well as their essence. Grounding is “feet in the soil”, fully “incarnating” in your body and learning to move with the “suppleness and power of a tiger”. Generating power while being relaxed, staying open and at ease. Moving with your whole body (movements and breath integrated), in contact with your belly-centre (Dan Tian/Hara). Each two-hour training starts with 10 minutes Grounding Dance as a warming-up, to make your hips and legs more supple and strong and feel your feet firmly on the ground. Then we continue with breath training and training of the Hara and the strength of the pelvic floor, exercises to re-align your back, optimize body posture and giving a “boost” to your general physical condition.
Grounding could be the thing to do for you, if you like to feel more rooted in your body and want to examine how to gain more power, suppleness and relaxation in body and mind with a series of simple exercises.
